Bem gente, como já deve ter dado pra perceber eu gosto de Rock né... rsrsrs

Hoje, 13 de Julho, é comemorado o dia mundial do Rock...

Ele surgiu com o Live Aid - festival pelo fim da fome na Etiópia. O Live Aid foi um festival que aconteceu simultaneamente na Filadélfia (EUA) e em Londres (Inglaterra), e alguns outros artistas também se apresentaram em Sydney, Moscou e Japão. Trouxe nomes como Black Sabbath (com Ozzy Osbourne), Status Quo, INXS, Loudness, Mick Jagger, David Bowie, Dire Straits, Queen, Judas Priest, Bob Dylan, Duran Duran, Santana, The Who e Phil Collins entre muitos outros.

Aliás, Phil Collins abriu o show nos EUA e na sequência, voôu para Londres para fechar o festival... (difícil heim....)

No Wembley Stadium em Londres teve uma platéia de aproximadamente 82.000 pessoas e no John F. Kennedy Stadium na Filadélfia com aproximadamente 99.000 pessoas.

Foi uma das maiores transmissões em larga escala por satélite e de televisão de todos os tempos Estima-se que 1,5 bilhão de espectadores, em mais de 100 países, tenham assistido a apresentação ao vivo.

Muitos videos piratas foram feitos com Live Aid, porque nenhum Video Cassete havia sido lançado na época ainda, mas em 8 de novembro 2004 uma caixa oficial de quatro DVDs com os concertos do Live Aid foi lançado. Contém 10 horas de filmagens parciais da apresentação de 16 horas. O DVD foi produzido pela empresa de Geldof, a Woodcharm Ltd., e distribuído pela Warner Music Company.

E como a causa do Live Aid era arrecadar dinheiro para o fim da fome na Etiópia, foi estimado que eles conseguiram até 150 milhões de libras com o evento.

Enfim, já se passaram 23 anos desde esse evento e 58 anos desde que o Rock surgiu. Apesar de um pouco fraco atualmente, o Rock ainda existe e se salva com bandas como Crashdiet, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Korn e etc...

Ficamos apenas com a memória dos clássicos que tiveram lá, como o Freddie Mercury.
